Whilst not wishing to diminish the importance of doing everything possible to stop those who are fat, small, talll or in some way different suffering at the hands of those who need to know better, I am amazed that redheads still get a fair bit of stick, just because of the colour of their hair!

Well, all I can say to every “Gingernut”, “Carrot Top”  “Ginka” is hang on in there! What goes around comes around! Because it’s a well-known fact that ginger guys don’t lose their hair.  So while most male bullies at school will find themselves  folically-challenged in the years to come, redheaded blokes will move graciously from red to grey.  And hey, from a girl’s perspective, don’t these bullies know how trendy it is to be a redhead in the adult word?  Every year, countless celebrities and ordinary folk desperately reach for colour shampoos with names like Red Passion, Hot Cinnamon, Hypnotic Red, Hot Chilli to liven up their mid-to-dark-brown hair, simply because they know it’s worth it!  In the past week, Cheryl Cole and Rhianna have both gone dramatically red.  Titian, in Cheryl’s case and, well, plain primary red in Rhianna’s. And if success is anything to go by, it’s obviously not doing them any harm, since Cheryl’ hair – particularly in the Minnie Mouse style – has been the centre of massive debate and hundreds of column inches of publicity. And as for Rhianna, her new album just reached No.1 in the music charts and this darling of the Chat Shows, X-Factor, fashion mags and a soon-to-be-released film based on the Battleships Board Game, has never been more popular – except, of course, with Katy Perry (Brand) – but that’s another blog!
